Lunaz Range Rover Classic
Electric first-gen Range Rover Classic, 50-car run · Land Rover Range Rover Classic (1970s)
An electrified and comprehensively re-engineered first-generation Range Rover, brakes, suspension and steering rebuilt alongside the powertrain, announced in December 2020 as an initial run of 50 cars, from £245,000 before local taxes. Two batteries are offered: a 60 kWh single-motor car that keeps a rebuilt original four-wheel-drive system, and a 90 kWh version with a motor per axle, good for roughly 250 miles. Output is 360 bhp in the fixed-roof cars and 375 bhp (280 kW) in the roofless one, with 450 lb ft throughout. Lunaz originally sold it in 'Town' and 'Country' specifications across standard and long wheelbases; the catalogue is now cut by body instead, four-door, two-door, long-wheelbase and roofless. The roofless car, delivered in 2024, is Lunaz's own Safari specification, inspired by the 'Octopussy' Range Rover, with facing rear benches in place of a back seat. The current series is capped at 25.
