BTR

The first car RUF badged as its own · Porsche 911 Turbo (930), 1983

The 1983 BTR (Gruppe B Turbo Ruf) was the first complete car RUF registered under its own name. A single-turbo 3.4-litre narrow-body 911 with a bespoke five-speed gearbox, it made around 374 hp and was quicker than the factory Turbo. The BTR set the lightweight, faster-than-Porsche template that led directly to the CTR Yellowbird.
