The tribute

Red Pig pays tribute to the AMG-prepared Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.8 known as Rote Sau, the Red Pig, which won its class and finished second overall at the 1971 24 Hours of Spa. S-Klub LA gave its version the same Mars Red, white roundels with the number 77 and pig-badged fog lamps.

Body and donor

The shape is a Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL (W109) body with flared arches and carbon-fiber bodywork. It sits on the rolling chassis of a 2017 Mercedes-AMG C 63 S (W205), so the cabin still carries the C 63 dash and centre console.

Power and debut

The donor's 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 gets new turbochargers, downpipes and a TCU tune. The car was shown at SEMA 2024.
