Alfa Romeo Disco Volante by Touring

Milan's flying-saucer tribute on an Alfa 8C · Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione (2012)

Unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, the Disco Volante is Touring Superleggera's tribute to the 1952 Alfa Romeo C52 "Disco Volante" flying-saucer racer. Built in a very limited hand-crafted series on the rolling chassis and 4.7-litre 444 hp V8 of a customer-supplied Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, its body is formed from hand-beaten aluminium and carbon fibre over roughly 4,000 hours of labour per car. It remains the modern Milan atelier's most celebrated revival and was officially endorsed by Alfa Romeo.
