The Acura Legend was a flagship luxury sedan and coupe launched in 1986 as one of the two cars that founded the Acura brand, developed partly through a collaboration between Honda and Britain's Rover. Powered by smooth V6 engines and offering advanced features for its era, it helped establish Japanese luxury cars in North America. The Legend name was retired after 1995 when Acura moved to its alphanumeric naming, with the model effectively succeeded by the RL.
