STORY

The RL was Acura's flagship sedan from 1996 to 2012, replacing the Legend as the brand's top model. The first generation (KA9) used a 3.5-liter V6 and front-wheel drive, while the second generation (KB1) introduced Honda's Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system in 2005. Despite advanced technology, the RL struggled against German rivals and was discontinued in favor of the RLX.
