STORY

The Alfa Romeo 146 was the five-door saloon-style hatchback companion to the 145, introduced in 1994 to replace the 33 four-door. It shared mechanicals, dashboard and running gear with the 145 but offered a longer, more practical body. Like the 145 it moved from boxer engines to Twin Spark inline-fours during its life and was replaced by the 147 in 2000.
