STORY

The Alfa Romeo 147 replaced the 145 and 146 in 2000 and was voted European Car of the Year for 2001. Offered in three- and five-door hatchback form, it used Twin Spark petrol and JTD common-rail diesel engines, with the high-performance 147 GTA fitting Alfa's 3.2-litre Busso V6. A 2004 facelift revised the front styling before production ended in 2010.
