Giulietta 1.75 TBi Veloce

940 · 2016–2020FWDHatchback

Range-topping Giulietta of the 2016 facelift, taking over from the Quadrifoglio Verde: 240 CV 1750 turbo petrol with TCT automatic, sports bumpers with red inserts, glossy anthracite trim, glass roof, uprated Brembo brakes with red calipers, 5-hole burnished 18-inch wheels, twin expanded exhausts, leather and Alcantara seats with red stitching. Confirmed by the official Alfa Romeo press release for the 2016 Paris Motor Show (https://web.archive.org/web/20210304064747/https://www.media.stellantis.com/em-en/alfa-romeo/press/alfa-romeo-at-the-2016-paris-international-motor-show), which quotes the 240 HP engine but no performance data. 0-100 km/h figures disagree (6.0 s per Autocar, 6.6 s per Motorlegend), so the field is left blank.

STORY

The Giulietta (Tipo 940), launched in 2010, was a five-door C-segment hatchback built on the Compact platform and named to revive the historic Giulietta badge. It featured Alfa's DNA drive-mode selector and a range of TCT dual-clutch and MultiAir turbo engines, topped by the Quadrifoglio Verde. Production continued until 2020, when it was effectively succeeded by the Tonale crossover.
