Spider 2.0 Quadrifoglio Verde

S3 (Aerodinamica) · 1986–1989RWDRoadster

Top version of the Series 3 Spider, introduced in 1986 with an integrated bodykit: side skirts, body-coloured mirrors, front and rear spoilers, hard rubber boot spoiler with third brake light, unique 15-inch alloys, optional hardtop and optional catalytic converter (Classic & Sports Car: 'Quadrifoglio Verde with integrated bodykit; optional catalytic converter'). DIN output 125 PS at 5,300 rpm with twin Weber carburettors; several sources instead quote 128 CV. Torque (148 vs 178 Nm), top speed (190 vs 196 km/h) and 0-100 km/h figures disagree between sources, so those fields are left blank.

STORY

The Alfa Romeo Spider (Tipo 105/115) was a Pininfarina-designed roadster produced from 1966 to 1993, one of the longest-running convertibles ever made. Launched as the Duetto, it evolved through four distinct series and gained fame in the film 'The Graduate'. A new front-wheel-drive Spider (Tipo 916) followed in 1995 alongside the GTV coupe.
