STORY

The XB7 is Alpina's first full-size luxury SUV, based on the BMW X7 and revealed in May 2020. It is also historically significant as the first Alpina built outside Buchloe, assembled at BMW's Spartanburg, South Carolina plant in a dedicated Special Vehicle Operations workshop, which reflected the marque's growing integration with BMW.

Power comes from a reworked 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 producing around 621 PS and 800 Nm, making the XB7 the most powerful Alpina model ever offered when it launched. Air suspension retuned to Alpina settings, 23-inch Classic wheels and a hand-trimmed Lavalina cabin give it the marque's blend of pace and comfort in a three-row family package: 0-100 km/h in about 4.0 seconds and a top speed near 290 km/h.

Sold out every model year since launch, the XB7 proved that Alpina's grand-touring philosophy translated intact to the SUV era.
