STORY

AMC built the Eagle from 1980 to 1987 on the Concord body, with permanent all-wheel drive using a viscous coupling. The 1980 lineup was a coupe, a sedan and a wagon, and the SX/4 liftback, based on the Spirit, joined in 1981. The 258 cu in six was the standard engine in 1980, and from 1981 the 151 cu in Iron Duke four-cylinder was standard. Chrysler bought AMC in 1987 and built the 1988 model year, a single wagon.
