STORY
The ARO 24 series was built by the Romanian maker ARO in Câmpulung, in mass production from 1972 until 2006. The 244 was one of its models. The series had a 2.5-litre petrol engine making 83 PS, and diesels were added later: a 3.1-litre of 68 PS, then turbodiesels of 2.5 and 2.7 litres. The range was also built under licence in Portugal, Spain and Brazil.
