STORY
The Audi A7 Sportback debuted in 2010 as a five-door liftback: a more design-led, coupe-inspired sister to the A6 executive saloon. Conceived as a rival to the Mercedes-Benz CLS, it married a long fastback silhouette and frameless doors to the practicality of a large hatchback, sharing its MLB platform and running gear with the contemporary C7 A6.
Positioned as one of Audi's most style-focused four-doors, the A7 also served as a showcase for the brand's design language and technology, spawning the potent S7 and the twin-turbo V8 RS7 Sportback. Now in its second generation, it continues to blend gran-turismo elegance with everyday usability at the top of Audi's saloon range.
