STORY
Audi showed the e-tron GT as a concept in Los Angeles in November 2018 and held the production premiere online on 9 February 2021. The RS version used the J1 platform shared with the Porsche Taycan, with two motors and a two-speed gearbox on the rear axle, rated at 440 kW (598 PS) and 475 kW (646 PS) in overboost, 830 Nm and 3.3 seconds to 100 km/h with boost engaged, 3.6 without, on a 93.4 kWh gross battery. Assembly runs at Boellinger Hoefe in Heilbronn on a line Audi certifies as net carbon-neutral. The update of June 2024 split the top of the range in two: with launch control the RS e-tron GT reaches 630 kW (856 PS) and a new RS e-tron GT performance 680 kW (925 PS), which Audi calls the most powerful production car it has built. The battery grew to 105 kWh gross.
