STORY
Audi put the first S version of the TT on stage at the Detroit show in January 2008: a 200 kW 2.0 TFSI with quattro drive and magnetic ride dampers, which made it the strongest TT yet, above the 184 kW 3.2 V6. That engine carried the 8J through its 2010 facelift unchanged. The 8S generation was shown in Geneva in March 2014 and the TTS could be ordered from that autumn at 228 kW and reached dealers in early 2015. The 2018 restyling quoted 225 kW and 400 Nm, and in November 2020 Audi raised the TTS to 235 kW, announced alongside a competition plus equipment line; 4.5 seconds to 100 km/h. The last TT of all, built at Győr on 10 November 2023, was a TTS Coupé, one of 662,762 TTs made since 1998.
