STORY

Audi showed the Coupé at the Paris Salon in 1980, a two-door offered with four- and five-cylinder petrol engines driving the front wheels. With the revision of August 1984 permanent four-wheel drive became an option, which made it the Coupé quattro. The second car arrived in October 1988 on the Audi 80 B3 floorpan, offered from the start with a 20-valve 2.3 litre, and it gave Audi the basis for the turbocharged S2 of September 1990. V6 power came next, the 2.8 litre in September 1991 and the 2.6 in August 1992, and both left the list at the end of 1995, and it was the 2.0-litre four-cylinders that saw the Coupé out when production stopped in December 1996.
