STORY
The Audi Q2 is a subcompact luxury SUV/crossover introduced in 2016 as the smallest and most affordable member of Audi's Q family, slotting beneath the Q3. Built on the Volkswagen Group's MQB platform and produced in Ingolstadt, it targeted younger, style-conscious buyers with bold angular styling and customisable contrasting C-pillar blades. The range offered 1.0 and 1.5 TFSI petrol and 1.6 and 2.0 TDI diesel engines with front-wheel drive or quattro all-wheel drive, and a 300 PS SQ2 hot version arrived in 2018. A 2020 facelift refreshed the styling, technology and engine line-up. Never sold in North America, the Q2 became a strong seller across Europe and Asia and remained in production into the mid-2020s.
