STORY
Unveiled in September 2005 at the Frankfurt Motor Show and on sale from 2006, the Audi Q7 was the first SUV Audi ever produced, launching the "Q" family that would grow into one of the brand's most important product lines.
A full-size, seven-seat luxury crossover, the Q7 shared its platform with the Volkswagen Touareg and Porsche Cayenne and paired quattro all-wheel drive with powerful petrol and TDI diesel engines, including a range-topping V12 TDI. It brought Audi's design language and cabin quality to the booming large-SUV segment and established the template for the Q5, Q3 and Q8 that followed.
