STORY

The Allegro was a small family car built by Austin-Morris, part of British Leyland, from 1973 into the early 1980s. It replaced the Austin 1100 and 1300, and Harris Mann styled it. It used Hydragas suspension and A-Series or E-Series engines. Early cars had an unusual steering wheel called the Quartic, which was later dropped. More than 600,000 were built.
