The Baojun 310 was launched in 2016 as SAIC-GM-Wuling's entry-level hatchback for first-time buyers. It undercut almost every rival in China on price, starting at under 40,000 yuan with a 1.2-litre four-cylinder and a five-speed manual, and a 1.5-litre engine was added shortly after. The car was retired in 2021.
The Baojun 310 is a compact budget hatchback introduced in 2016 as one of SAIC-GM-Wuling's entry-level offerings for young, first-time car buyers in China. It used small-displacement 1.2-liter and 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engines paired with manual or AMT transmissions, prioritizing low running costs. A wagon variant, the 310W, broadened its appeal to families needing extra cargo space. Positioned at the bottom of the market, it undercut nearly all rivals on price and had modern styling for its class.
