Bentley's first SUV was announced on 9 September 2015 and shown at the Frankfurt IAA that month, with a twin-turbo 6.0-litre W12 of 608 PS (447 kW) and 301 km/h; the factory billed it as the fastest SUV in the world. September 2016 brought a 4.0-litre V8 diesel, the first in Bentley's history, with a 48-volt electric supercharger, though it left Europe again in September 2018. A petrol V8 followed for 2018, Bentley's first production plug-in hybrid appeared at Geneva in March 2018 and reached customers in October 2019, and a 635 PS Speed was announced on 14 February 2019. The facelift of 30 June 2020 reworked the nose and the tailgate and freed up to 100 mm more reclined rear legroom, with its own Speed that August; an S arrived in May 2021 and the EWB, 180 mm longer between the axles, entered production in 2022. After the W12 ended, a V8 Speed of 650 PS arrived in June 2025.
