STORY

The Continental name debuted on the 1952 R-Type Continental, a lightweight high-speed fastback that was among the fastest four-seat cars of its day. It continued through the S-series Continentals of the 1950s and 1960s before being revived on the 1991 Continental R, Bentley's first model with unique bodywork in decades. These cars established Continental as Bentley's grand-touring sub-brand.
