STORY

The 3.0 CS designates BMW's E9 range of six-cylinder grand touring coupés, bodied by Karmann and built from 1968 to 1975. Evolving from the earlier 2000 C/CS and 2800 CS, the line grew to the 3.0 CS and fuel-injected 3.0 CSi, and spawned the lightweight 3.0 CSL homologation special that made BMW dominant in European touring-car racing. Elegant and fast, the E9 coupé is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful cars BMW has ever produced.
