STORY

The BMW iX3 is the electric version of the X3 and one of BMW's most important EVs. The first generation (G08, 2020) was a relatively conservative conversion of the combustion X3, with a single rear motor, 286 PS and around 460 km of range, built in China and using BMW's fifth-generation eDrive technology. The second-generation iX3 (NA5, 2025) is a landmark: the first model on BMW's dedicated Neue Klasse electric architecture, with 800-volt sixth-generation eDrive, a large cell-to-pack battery, up to around 800 km of WLTP range and 400 kW charging, signalling BMW's electric future.
