STORY

The BMW X4 is the coupe-styled derivative of the X3, offering the same underpinnings beneath a lower, fastback roofline for buyers prioritising style over outright practicality. The first generation (F26) arrived in 2014 based on the F25 X3, followed by the larger, more distinct second generation (G02) in 2018. Both were offered with M Performance M40i/M40d models and the standalone X4 M, whose S58 twin-turbo inline-six produced up to 510 PS in Competition form.
