The BX3 was the smallest SUV of the revived Borgward brand, which Christian Borgward, a grandson of Carl Borgward, revived with the help of the Chinese truck maker Beiqi Foton. It had a 1.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and an automatic gearbox. In December 2022 a Beijing court approved the bankruptcy of the company.
