BX5

The BX5 came after the BX7 in the range of the revived Borgward brand. The brand was revived by Christian Borgward, a grandson of Carl Borgward, with the help of the Chinese truck maker Beiqi Foton. The BX5 had a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine of about 150 PS with front-wheel drive, or a 2.0-litre turbo engine of 224 PS with all-wheel drive, both with a six-speed automatic gearbox. In December 2022 a Beijing court approved the bankruptcy of the company.
