STORY

The Riviera was Buick's personal luxury coupe and one of GM's most stylistically influential nameplates, launching in 1963 with crisp Bill Mitchell-inspired design. The 1971-1973 'boattail' generation is especially noted for its dramatic tapering rear glass. After several front-drive iterations, the final supercharged 1995-1999 Riviera ended the long-running coupe.
