Atto 2 is the overseas name of the BYD Yuan Up, a compact electric SUV launched in China on 26 March 2024 at 96,800 to 119,800 yuan. It is 4,310 mm long. The entry car had a 32 kWh Blade pack with 70 kW and 301 km CLTC, while the two upper trims combined a 45.12 kWh pack with 130 kW and 401 km CLTC. Europe saw it as the Atto 2 at the Brussels show in January 2025, with the 45.1 kWh battery and 130 kW rated at 312 km WLTP. In Brazil the same car went on sale in September 2024 as the Yuan Pro. It is not the Seagull, which BYD sells abroad as Dolphin Mini, Dolphin Surf and Atto 1.
The Atto 2 is a subcompact battery-electric SUV from BYD's Ocean series, marketed internationally as the export name for the domestic Yuan Up. Built on the e-Platform 3.0, it uses BYD's safety-focused Blade LFP battery and a single front-mounted motor. Positioned below the Atto 3, it targets urban European and other overseas buyers seeking an affordable, compact electric crossover.
