The Tang EV is a seven-seat, five-door electric SUV of the second generation, sold from 2018. Its two-motor setup makes 517 PS and 700 Nm and drives all four wheels through a single-speed transmission. It reaches 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds.

STORY

The BYD Tang is BYD's flagship large SUV, first launched in 2015 and named after the Tang dynasty, known early on for combining three-row practicality with strong plug-in hybrid performance. The second generation arrived in 2018 and was offered in DM plug-in hybrid and full EV forms. It has been one of BYD's best-known models and an early export flagship.
