The Story

Why the Han L matters

BYD launched the Han L on 9 April 2025 at the same event as the Tang L SUV, after pre-sales had opened in March 2025. The sedan is 5,050 mm long on a 2,970 mm wheelbase. The EV carries an 83.2 kWh Blade pack; the single-motor version makes 500 kW and is rated at 701 km on the CLTC cycle, while the dual-motor version makes 810 kW and reaches 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds. BYD said its 1,000-volt platform can add 400 km of range in five minutes. The plug-in hybrid versions use 200 kW motors, and the dual-motor DM-p takes 3.9 seconds. The Han L is separate from the 2020 Han.
