The Qin Plus is the Qin Pro renamed in March 2021, when the Qin Plus DM-i went on sale in March from 105,800 yuan. An update on 10 February 2023 brought the price to 99,800 yuan, BYD's first DM-i under 100,000 yuan, with 8.32 or 18.32 kWh batteries and NEDC electric range of 55 or 120 km. EV versions with CLTC ranges of 420 and 510 km were already listed in February 2024, and on 25 September 2025 three new base versions were added from 79,800 yuan. The Destroyer 05 is the Ocean-series model based on the Qin Plus DM-i.
The Qin Plus is a compact sedan in the Dynasty series, offered as a DM-i plug-in hybrid and as a full-electric EV variant. The DM-i version pairs a 1.5-liter engine with a Blade LFP battery for high fuel efficiency and long combined range. Positioned as an affordable, high-volume family sedan, it is a major part of BYD's Chinese sales. It competes directly with mainstream compact sedans and PHEVs.
