It pairs a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with an electric motor for 295 PS and 480 Nm, sent to the front wheels through a 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox. It has four doors, five seats and a 13 kWh battery.

STORY

The Qin Pro was shown in 2018, opened pre-sales on 5 September 2018 and went on sale in China in late September 2018. It came as a 1.5 L petrol car (109 hp, or 154 hp with the turbo), a plug-in hybrid called DM and an EV. BYD claimed 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds for the hybrid. It measured 4,765 mm long on a 2,718 mm wheelbase, and the EV version carried a 53.1 kWh battery, while the DM was the plug-in hybrid. In March 2021 the model was renamed Qin Plus.
