STORY

The Song Plus went on sale in China in September 2020 as a petrol SUV with a 1.5-liter turbo engine and a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, placed between the Song Pro and the Tang. The DM-i plug-in hybrid followed in March 2021. The EV reached 605 km on the CLTC cycle. Overseas it is the Seal U in Europe and the Sealion 6 in several other markets. The Sealion 06 succeeded it, and it left BYD's China lineup by January 2026.
