STORY

The BYD Song is a compact SUV family first launched in 2015, named after the Song dynasty as part of BYD's Chinese-dynasty naming scheme. Over successive versions it grew into a broad range spanning the Song Pro and Song Plus, offered with combustion, DM plug-in hybrid and EV powertrains. It has been one of BYD's best-selling nameplates and a cornerstone of the brand's rise in the SUV market.
