STORY
The Changan CS55 compact SUV was priced before it went on sale: in June and July 2017 Gasgoo and Autohome both reported a pre-sale range of 98,000 to 140,000 yuan, with the launch set for 26 July. It carried a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine rated at 115 kW (156 PS). A CS55 Plus version followed in November 2019, again with a 1.5-litre turbo and Aisin six-speed gearboxes, and a third-generation CS55 Plus was launched on 15 September 2023 at 99,900 to 113,900 yuan.
