The UNI-S was launched in Saudi Arabia by the dealer Almajdouie Motors in late August 2024, its first launch in that market. A 2026 car followed, first in South Africa and then in Saudi Arabia in July 2026, which the maker's press release calls a second generation. The South African car is a front-drive SUV 4,539 mm long with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine rated at 138 kW and 300 N·m and a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Russian sales of the 2026 car were announced in April 2026 at 2,979,900 rubles for the all-wheel-drive Luxe trim, a different drivetrain from the front-drive version sold in South Africa.
Uni-S is the name used in several export markets, including Kazakhstan, for the second-generation Changan CS55 Plus, a compact crossover with a 1.5-litre turbo engine, a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and front-wheel drive.
