STORY

The Arrizo 8 is Chery's large sedan, positioned above the Arrizo 5. An April 2022 preview described a 1.6-litre turbo with 194 hp and 290 Nm and a 2.0-litre turbo with about 250 hp, both with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and expected the car on the Chinese market in the third quarter of 2022. It went on sale in China on 26 September 2022 in five 1.6T trims priced from 108,900 to 132,900 yuan. On 16 June 2024 Chery launched three updated trims at 122,900 to 148,900 yuan. The 1.6T kept 145 kW and 290 N·m with the dual-clutch gearbox, while the 2.0T, rated at 187 kW and 390 N·m, moved to Chery's own Fuzhen eight-speed automatic in place of the earlier seven-speed dual-clutch unit.
