STORY
The Oriental Son (codename B11) is Chery's D-class sedan, introduced in 2003 and sold abroad as the Eastar. Its styling resembles the Daewoo Magnus, and its engines were Chery's own 1.8-litre and Mitsubishi-derived 2.0 and 2.4-litre fours (4G63 and 4G64). In 2010 the 2.4 was being replaced by Chery's own 2.0 ACTECO with 134 hp. The Cowin 5, a derivative listed on 28 March 2012, was based on it, and a new Eastar arrived the same year.
