STORY

The Tiggo 4 Pro was the export name of Chery's compact crossover sold in China as the Tiggo 5x, 4,338 mm long, the same length as the Tiggo 5X built in Brazil. It reached South Africa in late November 2021, where the 1.5-litre turbo petrol made 108 kW and 210 Nm, and the Elite with a CVT cost R349,900. Australia received the same 108 kW and 210 Nm engine in October 2024, after orders opened on 16 September, with the Urban priced at AU$23,990 drive-away. In 2023 a cheaper Tiggo 4 Pro LiT with an 83 kW, 138 Nm naturally aspirated 1.5-litre engine took over the base position in South Africa at R279,900 with a five-speed manual.
