Tiggo 8 Plus 2.0T

STORY

Chery put the Tiggo 8 Plus on sale in Beijing on 15 October 2020, after opening pre-sales at the end of September. It was an upmarket companion to the existing Tiggo 8: 22 mm longer, built on Chery's T1X platform, and sold alongside the older car. Six versions were priced from 124,900 to 159,900 yuan. Five of them used a 1.6-litre turbo with 145 kW and 290 N·m and a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, while one was a 1.5-litre 48-volt mild hybrid. A 2.0-litre turbo rated at 187 kW and 390 N·m joined the range later, also with a seven-speed DCT. In November 2023 Chery launched a Champion Edition facelift, which kept both turbo engines and started at 124,900 yuan.
