STORY

The Tiggo 8 Pro Max is a seven-seat family SUV built around a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. In Australia it was reported on sale on 16 May 2024 as a 2024 model in three grades, Urban FWD, Elite FWD and Ultimate AWD, from 41,990 to 47,990 Australian dollars drive-away, with the engine rated at 180 kW and 375 N·m and a seven-year unlimited-kilometre warranty. Chery South Africa lists the same engine at 187 kW and 390 N·m, a higher figure than the Australian one; neither source says why. TimesLive and TopGear reported the car on sale in South Africa on 7 December 2022 at 629,900 rand. Both markets give the body as 4,720 mm long, 1,860 mm wide and 1,705 mm high on a 2,710 mm wheelbase.
