The Tiggo e is the electric version of the Tiggo 5x. Chery announced it as the e Tiggo for the Shanghai motor show of April 2019, with batteries adapted to its T1X platform, and the figure of up to 401 km of range circulated before the show, unconfirmed by the maker, was on the old NEDC cycle, which the Spanish report notes would be lower under WLTP. A Brazilian outlet also headlined the electric Tiggo 5X as a 401 km car. The Tiggo e should not be confused with the Tiggo 3xe, an earlier electric SUV released in February 2018 per CarNewsChina data; Gasgoo reported on 28 May 2018 that its 3xe 400 version had gone on sale in Shanghai with a 90 kW motor, a 49 kWh CATL battery and 351 km of range (cycle not stated).
