STORY
Chevrolet introduced the Biscayne in 1958, when it replaced the 210 in the middle of the lineup, below the Bel Air. That first year the cheaper Delray, which took over from the 150, sat below it, but the Delray was dropped for 1959 and the Biscayne became the entry-level full-size Chevrolet. Bare equipment such as rubber floor coverings instead of carpet suited fleet buyers, and taxi companies and police agencies bought many. In the United States it ended with the 1972 model year, while in Canada the Biscayne name ran to 1975.
