STORY

The Chevrolet Captiva has been two quite different cars. The first generation went on sale in 2006 out of GM's Korean operation. The second generation appeared in November 2018 in Colombia and was built in China on the mechanical base and design of the Baojun 530, with a 1.5 litre turbo petrol engine, and it was headed to other markets in 2019, including Chile. Unlike the Korean-developed first car, the new one was built in China.
