STORY

Chevrolet built the Chevy II as its answer to the Ford Falcon, for the 1962 model year, and it was one of the new cars of the class of 1962. At 110 in, its wheelbase was half an inch longer than the Falcon's 109.5 in. The range started with the 100 and 300 and the upmarket Nova 400, using a 153 cu in four or a 194 cu in six. A V8 was added in 1964, and the 327 reached 300 hp in 1965. The Nova name, first used for the top series, replaced Chevy II only from 1969.
