STORY

The G-series was Chevrolet's van line, introduced for 1964 as the G10 to replace the Corvair 95 series. The engine sat between the front seats, and the engines came from the Chevy II, with a 153 cubic inch four at 90 hp among them. The Sportvan followed in 1965, and the second generation of 1967 added the G20 and a V8 option. The third generation began with the 1971 model year and ran until 1996, with a 6.2-liter diesel added in 1982 on the three-quarter-ton and one-ton vans. The Express replaced it.
