STORY
The S-10 Blazer was first sold for 1983, on the platform of the S-10 pickup that had arrived a year earlier as a 1982 model. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 83 hp was standard, and a 2.8-liter V6 with 110 hp was optional. By 1988 the 2.8 was rated at 125 hp and 150 lb-ft, and the engine list ran from a base 2.5-liter four to a 4.3-liter V6. It is a separate, smaller truck from the full-size K5 Blazer. In 1983 the V6 option cost $243 and required power steering at $247, according to Eightiescars.
