STORY
The S-10 went on sale as a 1982 model and took over from the Isuzu-built LUV, beating Ford's Ranger to market by about a year, according to Autoblog. By 1988 the engine list ran from a 2.5-liter four to a 2.8-liter V6 rated at 125 hp and a 4.3-liter V6. The second generation arrived for the 1994 model year, and Chevrolet stopped building the pickup in North America in 2004, when the Colorado replaced it. The catalog treats it as a separate truck from the S-10 Blazer SUV.
